Selma Demirović-Portesan is an attorney at Minnesota Construction Law Services. She represents project stakeholders in construction disputes. Her job is helping clients understand their options, protect their interests, and move matters toward resolution as efficiently as possible.
Born in Minneapolis and a lifelong Minnesotan, Selma understands the people, businesses, and jobsite realities that shape construction work across the state. She approaches each matter with the kind of knowledge that clients expect from a local.
Selma earned her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and completed her B.A. at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Prior to joining MNCLS, Selma’s experience includes practice in both personal injury and workers’ compensation law.
She resides in Shoreview with her husband, John, and their pug, Romeo (who accompanies her to the office sometimes). When Selma’s not in the office, you can usually find her hunting for vintage clothing, tending to her giant monstera, or dominating bar trivia.
